Day 1

Arrival in Copenhagen

Arrive to Copenhagen and enjoy an afternoon bike ride to explore the surrounding region. Copenhagen is a fantastic city of course and you could spend days here. Enjoy an evening in the city strolling the waterfront and choose from many superb restaurants. Ride Distance: 34km; 120m or 47km; 100m


Day 2

Copenhagen to Odense

Depart Copenhagen by train for the island of Fyn (Funen) in the peninsula of Hindsholm. On arrival, meet your bikes and you can set off cycling through a region filled with castles. Have lunch in the port city of Kerteminde and then continue back to Odense, birthplace of Hans Christian Anderson. Visit the new museum dedicated to him, stroll the town and enjoy dinner at one of the many excellent restaurants. Ride Distance: 46km; 200m


Day 3

Odense to Faaborg

Ride from Odense, embarking on the scenic castle route, cycle through the charming town of Brobyvaerk where you can enjoy lunch at the Havestuen at historic Brobyvaerk Kro, a beautiful restaurant and inn. Arrive to Faaborg an historic town located on Faaborg Fjord. The Luxe trip stays at the exquisite Relais & Chateau Falsled Kro which has been hosting guests since the late 16th century. Day 4


From Faaborg, ride a route that is popular with locals through the South Funen Alps, but even the highest point in Funen is only at 128m – they call this the Queen’s View and it does provide a magnificent view. Ride past  Sandholt Slot (castle) and then back in Faaborg, and stroll the quaint streets before another fabulous dinner. Ride Distance: 51km; 400m


Day 5

Faaborg to Svendborg

Start your day with a 1-hour ferry to Soby and pedal around Aero Island. Visit Vester Mill, a thatched windmill dating back to the 1800’s and then continue along the Danish seaside, passing iconic colorful beach houses, picturesque pasturs, and expansive farmland. Take breaks at local farm shops to savor the flavors of the seasonal harvest. Aeroskobing is a charming 18th century Danish village with half-timbered houses and cobblestone streets. Finish the day cruising back to the mainland to Svendborg, a delightful town blending maritime tradition with an old-world ambiance. Take leisurely moments to explore artisan shops and quaint cafés before reaching your accommodation for the next two nights – the Luxe trip stays at Stella Maris, an elegant boutique hotel perched on the scenic Svendborg Sound. Day 6


Embark on a cycling journey back into the Danish archipelago. Marvel at the verdant woodlands and untamed coastal beauty of Tåsinge island, passing by castles and picturesque rural villages. Visit Troense, a charming sea-side village adorned with 18th-century half-timbered houses.

Enjoy lunch at Valdemars Slot, a 13th-century castle, offering breathtaking views of Svendborg Sound and the South Fyn Archipelago. On clear days, the vistas extend as far as Kiel in Northern Germany. Day 7

You can depart at your leisure by train back to Odense and Copenhagen.
