Join our Team of Area Managers
Local Area Managers are critical to our success. In every region we offer trips, our Local Area Manager meets guests at their first hotel (usually at 6 pm but flexible), provides/fits bicycles on cycling trips and provides an orientation. These local Area Managers help ensure that our trips meet the expectations of our clients. Qualities we look for in Area Managers: most are cyclists and hikers themselves and are capable at ensuring you are comfortable on your bike; some of our Area Managers are quite mechanical and maintain our bikes but usually we have a professional mechanic tune the bikes after each use. In addition to their local language they speak English so can translate if you need. More than anything, they are a local host, to assist you if you need it and available by cell if necessary. For most of our Area Managers, this is a seasonal, part-time vocation. You may be surprised to learn that some have had (or still have) careers as architects, doctors, artists, teachers among others.
Welcoming, friendly, caring…our Area Managers are committed to helping ensure your trip is an amazing as it can be. Though they hail from diverse backgrounds, each of our Area Managers is passionate about and intimately familiar with the culture, language and off-the-beaten-path secrets of the region our guests have chosen to explore.
