Judith on Mayne Island was exceptionally nice, accommodation simple, comfortable, host intelligent, thoughtful and great cooks! Great balance of small city (Victoria), small island (Mayne) and something in the middle (Salt Spring). Also had variable biking conditions (some flatter, some hillier) and we enjoyed kayaking in Mayne Island. The area managers were terrific. They really went out of their way for us.”

The islands are beyond gorgeous, and we cannot wait to come back and explore more. Each day got better and by the time we got to Saturna we never wanted to leave!  We loved all the accommodation; especially Lyall Harbour.  The service provided by Randonnée was excellent. We felt very well taken care of and very efficiently organized. And we knew we had someone available if we needed help at any point. Eve Cabanel was wonderful. Thank you so much for all your help and support. It was an amazing introduction to a wonderful part of the world, and we will definitely visit again.”

"I am writing to thank you for the wonderful tour you arranged for my husband and myself. I can honestly say this was by far the best vacation we have ever taken! As my husband puts it, this was the first time he has been on a trip where he didn't want to go home by the end of it" and "… the trip exceeded all our expectations and hopes and we will highly recommend you to as many people as we can think of. Your staff has been extremely helpful in putting together a custom trip for us and has cheerfully answered our plethora of questions along the way. The trip was well thought out and the information we were provided with was comprehensive and extremely helpful. I wouldn't consider going on a trip like this without going through Randonnée. In fact, I fear that any other kind of vacation is now ruined for us, so I just hope you are going to be around for a long, long time."
Richard and Alissa, California - Canadian Rockies, cycling

“The scenery was magical. Just when we thought we had seen the most beautiful lakes, we saw lakes just as beautiful, but with a glacier and waterfall added! We liked the difficulty of the tour. Costa Rica

“The directions were great.”

John M. - Costa Rica, multisport

“All the hotels were great. For us, the amount of effort was perfect, just what we wanted. Enough to leave you satisfied that you had accomplished something but also not so much that you couldn't fit in other things during a ride day. The area manager was terrific -- a great resource and helped us set up a few things on the fly - e.g. a morning of fishing. He also had great recommendations about restaurants.”

Greg & Will H. - Croatia, cycling

“Karmen the guide in Hvar Town was exceptional! The area manager was fantastic! He made sure all the bikes were fitted and working properly, he went through each days root maps and made additions to the routes and gave us more restaurant suggestions.”

“We had selected (Classic level) hotels. The Montrachet in Puligny-Montrachet was a nice treat. And the meal was an experience! We were also very happy with the dinners that were arranged for us in both Burgundy and Provence. Great choices.”

John B., Victoria, BC - Burgundy Grands Crus, cycling

“Please keep your selection of B&Bs; they are not only clean and beautiful but our hosts and hostesses were warm and friendly and very informative. Lucien and Brigitte are a wonderful couple. Marie Pachael was very sweet, and the staff at our B&B in Semur-en-Auxois positively excellent. I would take this tour again just to see every one of these fine people! I was very pleasantly surprised by the lightness and easy handling of the bike provided. I have since purchased a Cannondale hybrid! To say I enjoyed my experience is an understatement. Let me just say that most folks have a bucket list, I don't. I have a list of things I never thought I would do. For example, I have parasailed, biked in Amsterdam, horseback in Costa Rica, zipped-lined in the jungle etc. To-date, I have travelled to Europe 8 times and been outside of Canada so many times that I have lost track yet, this cycle tour is the top of my list!”

Patricia A., Thunder Bay, ON - Burgundy, cycling

“We would do it again! We loved the narrow country roads with sparse traffic, little old villages, and French country side. All three accommodations were excellent and different from each other. We thoroughly enjoyed our hosts at the B&Bs and the staff at l’Hotel de la Cote d’Or was very accommodating, even packed us a take away breakfasts on our departure day. Lucien & Brigitte at Fare Nui are great hosts and Lucien`s cuisine is to die for! At Dome de Serigny, Marie-Pascale did laundry and would not accept payment. Excellent bikes! Well-designed handlebar bag. Good variety of terrain, bikes perfect.”

Brian & Rani J., Courtenay, BC - Burgundy, cycling

“All B&Bs were excellent especially the first one in Beaune. All the people were very kind, generous and helpful. The small towns were very scenic. Everything was great.”

Cecile C., Thunder Bay, ON - Burgundy, cycling

Frederick & Susan O. - Beaune Short Escape

"The tour was simply GREAT! And of course we had a great group – adding up to the trip of a lifetime. Once again I wan to thank you for your patience and diligence in setting up the tour. Quality very good. Suitability of bikes with regard to type, size, gearing, tire width and accessories was also very good. Accommodations were flat-out GREAT!"

"Well run tour with charming B&B accommodations"
R. Voelkel, Catonsville MD
- Burgundy, cycling

"Overall, we were surprised and impressed at how smoothly everything went - our bags were always there, people knew we were coming - (one inn) owner even worried about us when we got in a bit late! Attention to details on your part left us free to enjoy France." "The trip route notes were excellent - provided lots of helpful tips, you obviously took great pains with the directions. We feel very satisfied with what we received for what we paid. Very professional service - we had a great time - thanks. Route took us through beautiful places and 'Deep France'..."
Phil & Carolyn, Connecticut - Burgundy, cycling

“A big thanks for organizing such a wonderful Burgundian experience for us. We enjoyed every minute. Our accommodations were delightful, we really enjoyed Fare Nui in Beaune. The hosts were so engaging and managed to get all their guests involved in lively conversation. The routes were as promised – quiet country roads, little traffic, fabulous scenery, interesting towns and villages. Added details about where to shop and bank were most helpful.  The bikes were fine and well tuned up.

The whole experience was a bit like being on a rally, and we loved it. All towns were interesting. A nice mix of larger and small rides were all worthwhile. Your office staff in Vancouver was most helpful. Again thank you for providing us with such a wonderful, care-free experience.”

C. Russel - Burgundy, cycling

"Burgundy exceeded by far over expectations. Food and wine out of this world and wonderfully welcoming people. Our best cycling tour in France from all over 6 times."

R. Pasturel - Burgundy, cycling

“This was our third tour with you...by far the best yet. We also found Jerome and in particular his assistant, Cedric, to be very accommodating. They were by far the best area managers we have had in any of our trips with you. All of the hotels chosen were outstanding. We love everything in French countryside. Service by your office – excellent.”

comfortable; support was competent and dependable. And…the [new] bikes worked out very

well; they were of excellent quality and the gearing was very appropriate for the rolling to hilly

Richard B., Baltimore, MA - Dordogne, cycling

“Some of the high points for me: town of Gourdon - great mix of the old and new

- Jacquie (at Jardin Paradis) was fantastic - extremely personable and accommodating; she picked us up at the train station at 11 p.m. the first day (our flight was delayed by 6 hours causing us to alter rail plans) and she baked goodies for us to take on the train back to Paris (we had to leave before breakfast); balloon Festival in Rocamadour - the first day, balloons cruised right over Hotel Les Vieilles Tour; Gouffre De Padirac - we all took the tour - fantastic; gardens at La Ferme Fleurie; Chateau Des Milandes - beautiful, and the wonderful story…La Roque St. Christophe - amazing! -Monpazier - charming, and we did have two nice dinners in town (decided not to do the meal at Ferme De Tandou but enjoyed conversing with Simone and Jeannot in our very poor French.”

Richard B., Baltimore, MA - Dordogne, cycling

“We really liked the hotel at Carsac (Relais de Tournon) - friendly, family operated.”

David J. - Dordogne, cycling

“Having two nights is really perfect as other self-guided trips we've done have often had us moving every day and that's very tiring.”

Sandra B. and Avi L. - Dordogne, cycling

“I think there are enough options to suit everyone. The roads were mostly great, and we really liked that they were not crowded. The overall experience was great. Christine was at the train station to meet us and everyone in the office responded promptly and helpfully.”

Melanie B. and Carolyn B. - Dordogne, cycling

“The bikes were fine. It was great to have the spare inner tubes and repair kit.The accommodation was wonderful in each location. Very friendly hosts, beautiful buildings, very nice rooms and lots of character. Caves, museums, castles, gardens, cafes and beautiful scenery was more than enough to keep us happy. This was the most deluxe trip I've been on and it was very nice overall. The area was amazing, we loved going by all the small villages, farms and forests.”

Sonia E. - Dordogne cycling

“I was very impressed with all aspects of my tour. The office was efficient and pleasant to deal with. The area manager and staff were very nice and on time - my luggage was already delivered ahead of their schedule.”

Elizabeth W. -Dordogne walking

“Some accommodations exceeded my expectations: Les Vielles Tours, Les Cordeliers. The tour was very well planned, and the directions were excellent.”

Karen L. - Dordogne cycling

"I liked all the information about the areas and sights to see in each location. I have to single out the Hostellerie de la Bouraine as an exceptional place and the hospitality of the owner and staff was fantastic. The rooms we had there were very large and I found the entire establishment to be extremely clean and tidy. The breakfasts that were served as part of the package were also very generous. Overall, we felt very welcome and pampered there, and witnessed the level of work and dedication the family has in running the place. “

The Hotel La Belle Etoile was also very nice and the staff were extremely helpful and kind.”

“The area manager was very helpful to get us started and give us any tips or advice. And the accommodations were very nice.”

Michael P. - Dordogne cycling

“We enjoyed the stops during some of the hikes as well as destination walks on our days off - Randonnee's recommendations, were all very good; town locations offered good access to picnic supplies.”

“We are back home after our 9 day hike in Dordogne, followed by 4 days in Paris. We had an absolutely fabulous time in Dordogne. The countryside was lovely, the towns we stayed in were charming, friendly and beautiful as were the hotels. This is our fourth self-guided trip with Randonnee. Each trip has been a wonderful, memorable adventure in great places so it's hard to pick a favorite but, if we had to do so, this Dordogne trip would be it. Some of the things we especially liked were the length of the hikes - mostly 12 to 14 K without a lot of difficult, strenuous climbs up and down. This enabled us to side track to chateaus and gardens and still reach our destinations early enough to explore the great towns we were staying in before moving on. The directions were the most detailed, specific and accurate of any we've seen and we really appreciated that - in 7 days of hiking, there was only one point where our next move was unclear. The choice of routes was spectacular - we took so many photos because everyplace we went was a great photo opportunity - it could not have been prettier.”

Paul & Jill Staubitz - Dordogne walking

“The tour was excellent and Christine, the area manager was outstanding. “

Paul O. - Dordogne multisport

“Absolutely loved the bikes!Fantastic overall experience. Definitely a great way to explore a region. Area manager did a great job meeting us, setting us up with the bikes and transporting our luggage to each place of accommodation.”

Peggy W. - Dordogne cycling

“We loved the accommodations at Rocamadour and the restaurant was awesome. The overall experience was awesome! We had great weather and the destinations were great with lots to do and see.”

Rob and Evi D. - Dordogne cycling

"I never ever thought I’ d go on this type of trip but I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. As a normally non-athletic person, I tell people that the bicycling part was the best part of the trip! The Dordogne Valley is magnificent and I don’t think we could have experienced it fully if we had been in a car or a bus! The sight, the smells, the medieval atmosphere…I could have stopped every 2 minutes to take a picture! Overall the best vacation ever!"
M. Douglas
- ON,Canada - Dordogne, cycling

"We had a 5 day Provence trip 5 years ago with your company and thoroughly enjoyed all of it. Friends were so impressed with what we had encountered; they wanted to take another bike trip with us.

The hotel in Gourdon was beyond our expectations, as was the host. We haven’t stopped gushing about the location, hotel and our host there.

As our second time using your company we found our overall experience great. The area manager was helpful and replaced a bike for one of our travelling companions without hesitation. The office staff in Canada are great and very helpful when I called with some questions. We have already recommended your company to others and won’t hesitate to do so in the future. "
D. Kristjanson, Burlington Ontario - Dordogne, cycling

"Yours is a first-class operation start to finish. This was my 8th trip to France (I lived there 20 years ago) and had never done anything like this before, but always wanted to. I knew I was in good hands with Randonnée from the start - your company is so organized, thorough and professional - it made for a no-hassle, no-worry, truly memorable experience."
Sharon, Arizona - Dordogne, cycling

"[Area manager] told my Grandma (Barbara) that I'm the youngest person ever to do that tour. It was a lot of fun but also sometimes it got harder. I went up the hills faster than my Grandpa (David)! This tour also had tons of pretty sights to see, especially around the castles and rivers!" "This trip was one of the great experiences of my life, and I have tears in my eyes as I write this - I am a sentimental Irishman - I will never forget this wonderful fairyland, the sites, the flowers, the people, the food, the rivers the weather, etc. etc. The experience will hold a special place in my heart forever!" "My sentiments exactly!"
(12-year-old) Jessica, David & Barbara, Canada - Dordogne, cycling

"I just wanted to thank you for a fabulous trip! The entire sejour was magnificent! I am stunned at how gorgeous the region is and of course the regional cuisine definitely added to the experience."

J. O’Gradie - Dordogne, cycling

“All accommodations were clean, universally friendly and helpful. The area manager was great, very helpful.”
M. Barrett – Dordogne, cycling

“The background information was very interesting and comprehensive. We enjoyed each unique and charming hotel on the tour. Very good locations and very welcoming. Excellent service. The area manager was very knowledgeable and helpful. We felt well taken care of. The hotels were very welcoming and charming.”

V. Ledgett - Dordogne, cycling

“The food at all places was fabulous and I felt very good value. I found the whole area fascinating. I would recommend Madeline north of les Eyzies. I thought it was just about perfect. I was just tired at night but never exhausted. I thought that the drivers were respectful of cyclists. The area manager was very helpful. He met us on the first evening and gave us a briefing as well as setting up the bikes. We loved the Hostellerie de la Bouriane in Gourdon. M Duchamps (the owner) was a lovely man and very helpful. He made us feel at home.”

N. Valentine - Dordogne, cycling

The pre- tour material was very helpful. It provided a good background of the history of the area. It was also helpful in preparing for what to expect travel-wise and what to bring on the trip, how to pack, etc … The tour was great. The trails were a good mix of level of difficulty with breathtaking scenery! Service was excellent! The Randonnée staff in the home office was also excellent in answering all my questions, getting us set up with the tour, providing information and in general providing excellent service with a pleasant attitude. The trip was really great. I loved it. It was a wonderful experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat!”

L. Devine - Dordogne, walking

“The tour directions were easy to follow and provided interesting information. The bikes were great. Loved the saddle bags for jackets and such, as well as the bag on the handle bar which could be unclipped and taken along to see the sights.

The hotel Pont de Louysse in Lacave was fabulous. The grounds with their varied outdoor garden rooms and beautiful flowers were spectacular. We sat outside around the pool and also beside the fallen bridge. It was very poetic. Our room was beautifully decorated with French country bed linens and antiques furniture. The large bed was heavenly. The food at their restaurant was probably the best we had during our entire stay in Europe - it was superbly prepared and presented, and it tasted so good that I will always remember it.

The hotel in La Roque Gageac, La belle Etoile was also lovely. We had a well-appointed room overlooking the Dordogne river and could watch the cruise boats and conoes going up and down as well as people moving about. The hiking and canoeing were beautiful and well within our abilities.

The area manager transported our bags daily and brought and picked up our bikes. He was very prompt and efficient. He was also generous enough to allow Marie to ride with him on the last day.

We were blown away by the natural beauty of the area, the chateaus, the castles, the caves and rock formations, and the staggering amount of pre-history. Each fortified town seemd more amazing than the next. Our trip took us through rural towns and hillsides where we ate apples and figs from wild trees and blackberries from hedges. We also got to taste the bountiful harvest of walnuts just lying on the grounds. And the meals were incredible. They are serious gastronomes in the southwest France!”

M. Bradby - Dordogne, multi-sport

“The accommodations were the best! Nicest people and places in the world. Our favorite is Les Vielles Tours, the hotel operator is one of the nicest people I have ever met. The area manager is a great guy. He even found a copy of the new Harry Potter book on the release date for our daughter and delivered it to us. He is fantastic.”

L. Root - Dordogne, custom cycling

“Eve Cabanel did a great job accommodating our request for additional add-ons and sites to see. The hotels were excellent and very friendly family hotels, helpful, great views from rooms, owners wonderful.”

L. Pennycook - Dordogne, cycling

“All 3 locations were beautiful and the hotels were lovely.  The people at all the locations were very gracious and helpful.  The manager at the Hotel Bourianne was particularly nice.  He arranaged to have breakfast for us before the regular serving time because we had an early train.  I very much appreciate Eve’s assistance in recommending all three hotels.  We will tell our friends about Randonnée and the wonderful accommodations that you found for us. I found Eve Cabanel to be very helpful in planning.

We thought the Dordogne was the perfect place for a bike tour.  The beauty of the area and history were outstanding.  It far surpassed our expectations.”

D. Ford - Dordogne, cycling

"Jardins Paradis was absolutely first class - excellent food – clean facilities and superb hospitality. Laurent at the vielles tours in Rocamadour ran a very professional as well as friendly operation. The people at camping la Riviera were accommodating and helpful.

We enjoyed our holiday in Dordogne very much. "
P & L Minelli-
Dordogne, cycling

"The pre-tour information was excellent.

The accommodation was WOW – all clean and very nice. The food at each hotel was exceptional and reasonable.

We greatly enjoyed all the destinations. Wish we would have had more time.

It wasn’t overall a leisurely tour – it was moderate to difficult because of the length and grade of the hills. However I would not recommend changing a thing – it’s the nature of this beautiful region. We are not cyclists, but we are in decent shape.

Wow. The tour of a lifetime. Memories to treasure forever. The beauty is unparalleled. "
S. Ashmore - Dordogne, cycling

The route was well chosen: for the vas majority of time, we were on very minor roads with very little traffic. Indeed, on the road back from Chenonceau, we didn’t meet a single car in either direction for nearly an hour."
M. Herzen - Redwood City, CA- Loire Valley, cycling

"I just wanted to say thanks for a great trip, I have already recommended you to my friends. It was one of our best family trips ever. Our 14 years old daughter had a great time and was able to take things at her own pace. The routes were easy but fun, the tour was fun and interesting, the maps terrific. Our guide was very friendly and easy going, informative, and she also sensed that we like our own space, and gave us as much guidance as we wanted. "
E. Ruehr- Brookline, MA- Loire Valley, cycling

"The hotels you chose are amazing and the service impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed each one.

The food and service however are outstanding!

We loved our holiday and would definitely consider using Randonnee again. "
V. Nelson, St-Lazare QC - Loire Valley, cycling

"The proprietors were all lovely, helpful people. Nice to meet.

Tour was just right. If people are actually there for a athletic endeavor than they might want more. But for us, and our sightseeing and casual interests the pace and distances were just right. No hurry. No worry.

I must give an extra special thanks and kudos to area manager in Siena. This man, this person, made this part of our trip extra special, extra warm, extra insightful, extra everything. What a wonderful human being and representative of the life there in Siena and Asciano. They covered every base and made sure we and what we needed. We appreciated your professionalism and service. You all did (do) a great job. Thanks.

We had an amazing time and was blessed with great weather and the energy that was necessary to keep on the move.

The biking tours were the highlight of the trip and it would have be nice if we had done more days in both France and Italy.  For sure the next time we will consider more biking. The countryside with the vineyards, sunflower fields and all the sites were picture worthy.  It was a great experience.

Tuscany is a must see area and even though it was hilly and more difficult to bike the directions were very easy to follow and the routes were so beautiful.  I tell people that I was on a biking, hiking and touring trip to Tuscany and it was an amazing experience.  September was a perfect time to bike in Tuscany for the weather but maybe the spring would be great also because of the blooming season.  You were right we should not have shortened the trip so now we will have to go back sometime.

All the people we met along the way in the different hotels were exceptional and the hotels/B&B's that Randonnee selected were very well chosen to provide the local flavor of the countries.

Eve, I want to thank you and your company Randonnee for your help and for planning a wonderful biking experiences for John and myself."

J. Martin, J. Tipton - Denver Colorado- Lorie Valley & Tuscany, cycling

“We loved Clos D’amboise. Very nice breakfast, very helpful staff, beautiful garden and comfortable beds. Eve Cabanel was very helpful in planning this trip. Her responsiveness to my many questions was a major factor in our taking this tour.”

H. Parr - Loire Valley, Amboise short escape

“This tour was pretty easy and beautiful. The routes Randonnée chooses are great – small quiet back roads. The self-guided tours are great, this was my second one. Amboise and Azay Le Rideau hotels were outstanding.”

A. Hoffman - Loire Valley, Chateaux of the Loire, cycling

"The office staff was very pleasant and helpful customizing the tour. The area managers were excellent. A very pretty area to cycle."
M. Gardner - Loire Valley, Chateaux of the Loire, cycling

Lot Valley:

“We thought the accommodations were very good. Very much liked staying in the places in Gourdon & Maroux as they are 100's of years old & very comfortable. Staff was knowledgeable & helpful. Info provided was excellent. Routes along the rivers, taking in castles & chateaus were excellent...This was our 8th self-guided tour & we were very satisfied.”

Gordon & Bonnie Dunham, North Vancouver, BC - Lot Valley, cycling

F. Bateman -Lot Valley, cycling

"Hotel Churchill good location, very helpful staff, La Ferme Rançonnière in crepon beautiful, Hotel L'Ecrin staff welcoming - accommodating. Once we began riding and using the directions we felt confident that the directions would get us where we needed to be. Thank you for such a wonderful experience and providing us for a memorable vacation. Normandy is a beautiful area and we couldn't have planned the experience any better."

D. Coyle - Normandy, cycling

“Provence was beautiful beyond imagination. It was great to have swimming pool at the end of the day at each accommodation. We loved the bikes! The best (room) in the world was at Mas de Cure Bourse at L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue. It was a suite with a balcony, quiet and beautiful. The second best was St. Barthelemy in Pernes-les-Fontaines. Wonderful hosts, wonderful grounds.”

Joshua L. & Alice B., Becket, MA - Provence, cycling

“We appreciated the add-ons. They were nice options when we were ready to do a little more. We had read that the Gorge du Nesque was really a very worthwhile ride. Our favourite accommodation was Hotel L'Hermitage. The dinner at Hotel Mas des Romarins was outstanding. Celine, by the way, was lovely and very helpful.”

Thom S. & Jenny C., Calgary, AB - Provence, cycling

“I liked all the hotels: Hostellerie Provençale in Uzès, Hotel Gounod in St Remy de Provence, Mas des Romarins in Gordes, especially the one in St Remy. I also loved having two nights in each of the three hotel.”

Alexandra & Joan L., Cambridge, MA - Provence South, cycling

“Cycling in a new country puts the memories in the soul as there is time to absorb the beauty. The balance of cycle/hike and just being a tourist was great. It is hard to beat the exhilaration of cycling in a beautiful country and all the roads were well paved and cyclist friendly. The smaller the town is the more intimate the relationship with the hosts in the accommodations. Aude and Jean Loup at L’Eveche were fabulous. Isabelle at Mas des Oliviers was wonderful, all breakfast food was homemade from yogurt to honey. Thierry our driver added much to our tour, he shared his knowledge and love of his country.”

Neil M., Cornwall, ON - Provence, multisport

“We chose Randonnee for our Provence multisport tour because we thoroughly enjoyed your Ireland package and we are Randonnee Tours advocates (spreading the word to all family and friends)! In fact, we now have a bucket list of completing as many of your country tours as possible. All accommodations were great places to stay with authentic feels and charming neighborhoods. We truly enjoyed those places that included breakfast each morning and the occasional dinner.”

Kevin & Karen H., San Francisco, CA - Provence, multisport

“Every hotel was absolutely delightful!”

Doug D., Dallas, TX - Dordogne, walking

“We were particularly impressed by Hotel Le Mas des Romarins.”

Ann C., Vancouver, BC - Provence, cycling

“We had lots of options so our tour was as difficult as we wanted it to be. The hills were actually must gentler than the ones we have at home!” In Provence, the area manager, Celine was great. She gave us many good suggestions for restaurants and things to see, many of which we followed up on. And they were all great suggestions! We also got to meet the driver in Provence who was moving our luggage around. We hired his cab to go to one of our dinners but we had our date wrong and when we got there, the restaurant was closed. He found us a pizza place in town, waited until it was ready and brought us back to the hotel. Lovely man!”

John B., Victoria, BC - Provence, cycling

“We thoroughly enjoyed the entire trip and scenery.”

Neil & Patricia Holmes, Calgary, AB - Provence, cycling

Karen R. & Mark M. - Provence, hiking

“Enjoyed very much the location of the accommodation either right in the village or, like Le Floret, in a pretty country location. We particularly loved La Demeure de Manon in Malaucene and Sylvie, the owner, is a gem! The scenery and the villages we visited were beautiful. We loved getting way from bigger towns and walking along quite deserted trails.Thank you for a wonderful experience! We had a great week and loved doing a self guided walk. I have done a guided walk before through Sicily which was also fantastic but sometimes it's nice to go at your own pace, stop when you want and enjoy the company of one other. Our area manager, Isabelle was a lovely friendly and helpful person.”

Kerry & Paul H. - Provence, hiking

We did have road bikes and we appreciated the quality. The scenic views made the whole experience magnificent! The daily distances were very good. Some of the hills were pretty challenging for me...Mont Ventoux took the cake...but I made it all the way up! My husband is much more skilled cyclist and loved the Mont Ventoux climb the best out of the whole trip!We had a fabulous time! The literature provided by your office was very good. It was very interesting to read about the area ahead of time and your suggestions re: packing, etc were most appreciated. Your area manager, Celine, was extremely kind, efficient and considerate. She was very helpful in getting us set up properly with our bikes.”

Cathy W. - Provence, cycling

“Historical and local info was great. Directions were, for the most part, fantastic and very easy to follow.

Accommodations: Wonderful choices! We loved the properties and the hosts, all of whom greeted us warmly and treated us really well. The properties were special.Difficulty was exactly appropriate - not too easy, not too hard. We had a fantastic experience! Great service from Randonnee staff in Vancouver and from Isabelle, our area manager. Love the routes Randonnee chose and the accommodations where we stayed. We'll certainly do another tour with you in the future.”

Sara Z. & Mark N. - Provence, cycling

"My friends description of their trip was so positive and the excellent selection of trips offered by your company was sufficient. We were surprised at how easy the instructions were to follow.

Wonderful choices of hotels – staff was excellent and hotels were so unique. They were a highlight oat the end of the day of cycling.

There was almost too much to see. The route chosen was filled with so many interesting sites and the scenery was gorgeous! This was enhanced by the routes chosen – with minimal traffic we were free to take in all the sights and countryside. Our area manager was very friendly and helpful."
S. &  J. Jongmans - Calgary, Alberta - Provence, cycling

"After reading guide books and having been there, I think you did an excellent job covering the important spots in each place. Thank you for that! My bike was terrific! A perfect fit! I was never uncomfortable.

After a full day of biking, when you arrive at your accommodations you want it to be welcoming (it was totally), clean (very), and organized (it was) with helpful suggestions for dinner (all our meals were excellent!)

Really when I describe my trip to family and friends I say the meals were excellent, the B&B’s were lovely and added to our experience. I have already given your name out to different people that love to bike!"

M. New York, NY - Provence, cycling

“The accommodations were excellent in every way. Le Beffroi was great! Lovely room, great place and location. Crillon le Brave was an experience. Les Romarins great food and location, we loved it. Nice mix of destination, towns, cities, country. Eve Cabanel was extremely helpful and accommodating. The area manager was a sweetie and was available to help.”

P. Jeswald - Provence, cycling

“We were pleased with the hotels. The staff was very helpful when we needed assistance. I loved that each place was different and provided sites to see. The nice thing is that there are enough choices provided so we could select for hikes that matched our energy level for the day. The area manager was very friendly and helpful.”

T. Marchant - Provence, multi-sport

“We thought your service was really excellent and the service on the ground was fine. The Crillon Le Brave was excellent, beautiful room and a very good service. The tour could have been slightly longer rides but there was always extra loop options to keep you busy. It is a beautiful country for cycling and we did not find the hills too hard”

K Tracey - Provence, cycling

“We had a wonderful time. The weather was so good to us! And all the hotels you booked for us were just great. "We...wanted to thank you personally for an absolutely perfect tour of Provence. We were able to absorb so much of the sights and sounds of this beautiful area and enjoy a completely relaxing vacation thanks to the efforts of you and your staff who arranged all the details so capably and thoroughly. We were delighted that most of our walking was on trails and dirt paths, and we found the routes to be accurately described and well marked. All of our accommodations were excellent, each with its unique charm and features and all with a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. The variety of towns and villages which we stayed in and walked through gave us a good overview of Provence, even though we covered a relatively small area."

Arlene, Washington - Beaune & St-Rèmy, Short Escapes

“The tour was not difficult for those who cycle hills regularly, but a nice combination of scenery and challenge. It's easy with a self-supported tour for individuals to add kms to the daily route if they want to, as we did on the last day.”

A. Leedy - Haute Provence, cycling

"The inn was lovely, I have a lot of experience at picking out nice accommodation, so “meeting my expectations” is high praise.

"All the accommodation were great, Castello, di Velona, was spectacular

Pienza was my favorite town. The locations were a nice combination of towns and country and more specifically a combination of villas, farmhouses, palaces and the castle.

We had a fabulous trip! The weather was perfect and the scenery never censed to be breathtaking. The bike routes were challenging in terms of hills but very pleasant because of the lack of traffic and the never-ending views. The accommodations were all good and got progressively better as we went. Same for the meals. It was an unforgettable trip."
B. and M. Hole - Tuscany, cycling

"We are fairly fit so the hills didn't bother us, they were good challenges.  Mileage was great, would not want to ride too much more as we felt this was a bike tour to see Italy, not just a "bike trip".
J. Maguire / D. Sawchyn- Tuscany, cycling

"...Great choices!!!   The accomodations were lovely, clean and comfortable.  My favorites were  the B&B in Rocco d'Orcia, El Capitani in  Montacino  and the farm near Buono Vente. We especially enjoyed the agritourissimo. Good job! I found Eve Cabanel to be very Helpful and the area manager provided us with good service.

The walks were beautiful and challenging. The villages were quaint with excellent accommodations and the service was stellar.  We loved Tuscany and wish to walk other areas of this great region. "
M. Klug - Tuscany, walking

“Your area manager, Carla, is a lovely person. She welcomed us warmly and gave us a spontaneous tour of the underground area of Perugia. Your guide who showed us around Bevagna, is a wonderful tour guide, very well informed and a pleasure to be with.”

Nicholas & Susan F. Washington, DC - Umbria, walking

"My bike was fabulous! I had plenty of gears for the gory uphills, the wider tires absorbed the roughness of the roads, and the gears shifted like a dream. Very satisfied with our accommodations, the best room was in Bevagna, huge comfy room.

I think the best ride was the one to Todi from Bevagna, such beauty.

I fondly think of this trip often. The country and the people were so lovely and I had the best time exploring and enjoying the sights, the food, the wine, nature. I was amazed that we could pull together such a trip, Rome included, without any major problems." I. Boyette, Tifton, Georgia - Umbria, biking

"Asked for and received road bikes. Thanks!

This was our second trip with Randonnee, and we enjoyed all of the hotels and thought they were well situated.

We particularly liked Bevagna and the surrounding country, and were we to take the same tour again, we could consider the longer version of the tour which spends 3 nights in Bevagna.

This was our second trip with Randonnee. We very much enjoyed the tour and hope to travel with Randonnee again. The cycling was beautiful, with the routes well-planned through varied terrain, mostly quiet roads, breath taking scenery, and beautiful, historic towns. All in all, great cycling in a spectacular region.

The area managers were very nice and helpful in setting up our bikes and giving us their insights"
R.  Klein & L. Saffire, New York NY - Umbria, cycling

"We have just returned from our tour of Umbria and cannot begin to tell you how wonderful it was! Dale & Jam J., Canmore, AB - Portugal, cycling

“Fabulous, being in all those castles and monasteries! Well worth the premium for the upgraded accommodations. Your operation, from first contact to leaving the bikes at Marvao, was first rate. Office staff answered preliminary questions. Pedro, on site, was excellent. Bikes, route, accommodations, were the best ever. We've never had a better bike touring experience! We're already starting to consider where we'll go next, and will begin by looking at what you offer”

Prague to Vienna

“All in all, we had a terrific time and we sure appreciated the itinerary and accommodations. The bikes were simply fantastic, and since I have never ridden a bike like that before, the ones at home are looking pretty poor. They were a good experience, especially for me, who has trouble keeping up with (my husband) George! (Area Manager) was a very attentive and pleasant person. A good rep for your company.” (Laurin). Like I said, area manager was wonderful and incredibly helpful and on top of what we were doing. He was also really encouraging. Tatiana and Mikhaila were wonderful - keep using them!”

We were lucky enough to arrive in Sevilla during Bienal de Flamenco and saw a great performance.

It was not a big challenge for us, but that was fine, since we really liked having energy and time to visit the towns we were in."

“I think that you have a taken great care in selecting accommodation that provides a great location within the city, a hotel that has a culture of excellence and is authentic to the country, and that supports bikes/ bikers. Well done! I think you do a great job of offering a daily range and depending on how you are feeling each day you can make a choice. The Area Manager makes all the difference in a great experience while touring. Sandra's knowledge of the history and culture of the region made a huge difference. I really appreciated that she met us for coffee to provide at least 45 - 60 minutes of conversation about the area, reinforcing highlights of the area, as well as answering any questions.”

Doug & Karen B., Calgary, AB - Catalonia, cycling

The area manager gave us good advice and the accommodations + breakfast were top notch. We will definitely consider other trips with you. "
